Our sector has been inundated with multiple survey requests and TIAC understands that many of you are either busy reopening your businesses or planning for the future. We appreciate that filling out “yet another survey” can be time-consuming, however please know that our sector is fighting for the attention of Ministers and policy-makers in a sea of other industries and lobbyists.

To cut through the noise and influence policy change, we must continue to collect quantifiable data about your businesses to show government the continued need for sector-wide support. Relying on anecdotal information does not meet government requirements to address gaps in the system or in programs. To ensure we get the government’s attention on these important issues we need to ensure we have a reasonable response rate and the data to support our sector.  

As such, TIAC has launched an in-depth industry survey that covers the use of specific support programs to obtain much-needed data for Government to support the visitor economy. We will be closing this survey shortly and ask that if you haven’t already taken it, please do so today, and share with your business network, as we continue to ensure government officials understand that tourism counts!
