Air Canada Future Leaders Contest
Air Canada, in partnership with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), invites applications for the 2025 Air Canada Future Tourism Leaders Contest. We are looking for Canadian students who have made meaningful contributions to Canada’s vibrant tourism industry and who embody the spirit of this year’s theme, TourismCan: Tourism Builds Canada.
Up to four (4) students will be selected. Winners will receive:
- Complimentary registration to TIAC’s Tourism Congress & Canadian Tourism Awards held November 18–20, 2025, at Hilton Lac-Leamy, Outaouais Region, Gatineau, QC
- Two nights’ hotel accommodations (check-in Nov. 18 / check-out Nov. 21)
- Round-trip airfare to Congress provided by Air Canada (economy class)
- Participation in the Air Canada Future Leaders Luncheon where winners will join a student panel to share their expertise
- Special recognition during the lunch in front of industry leaders
Eligibility: Full-time students at an accredited Canadian college or university in a Travel/Tourism/Hospitality or related program. Proof of enrolment is required.

- Contest opens: June 5, 2025
- Contest closes: September 2, 2025
Written Submission (500 words, choose ONE):
1. TourismCan: Building Canada’s Story (note: Theme still to be finalized) Share how your work or ideas help tell Canada’s tourism story, strengthen communities, or inspire pride among Canadians and visitors.
2. Building Tomorrow’s Tourism Workforce What actions can the Canadian tourism sector take to attract, train, and retain the next generation of tourism leaders?
3. Tourism as a Force for Good How can tourism in Canada be a driver of positive change—whether through economic development, reconciliation, sustainability, or social impact?
