Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) 2024 Tourism Congress Registration Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your registration for the 2024 Tourism Congress. Please review our cancellation policy below:

1. Cancellation Requests:
   1. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to Congress@tiac-aitc.ca.
   2. The email date will determine the cancellation date and applicable refund amount.
2. Refund Schedule:
   1. Full Refund: Cancellation requests received on or before September 15, 2024, will receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
   2. Partial Refund: Cancellation requests received between September 16, 2024, and October 15, 2024, will receive a 50% refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
   3. No Refund: Cancellation requests received after October 15, 2024, will not be eligible for a refund.
3. Substitutions:
   1. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute another individual from your organization at no additional charge.
   2. All substitution requests must be submitted in writing via email to Congress@tiac-aitc.ca and must include the name and contact information of the original registrant and the substitute.
4. Event Cancellation:
   1. In the unlikely event the 2024 Tourism Congress is cancelled by TIAC, all registrants will receive a full refund. TIAC is not responsible for any other costs incurred by participants.
5. No-Shows:
   1. No refunds will be provided for registrants who do not attend the event and do not cancel according to the cancellation policy.
6. Special Circumstances:
   1. TIAC recognizes that emergencies can occur. In cases of severe illness or other extraordinary circumstances, TIAC may, at its discretion, provide a full or partial refund after the cancellation deadline. Requests for refunds under these circumstances must be accompanied by appropriate documentation.
