Tourism as a Catalyst: Economic Development in the North + Q&A 
 
Tourism has long been a powerful driver of northern economies—creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and strengthening regional identity. This panel brings together leading voices from across the Northwest Territories and Yukon to explore how tourism can act as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth and community resilience.  
 
Panellists will discuss opportunities and challenges in developing the North’s visitor economy, strategies for attracting investment, and the role of partnerships between governments, Indigenous organizations, and industry. The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A.
