As your national industry association, TIAC is delighted to see the launch of the Tourism Relief Fund (TRF) and encourage members to check with their Regional Development Agency to find out how they can take advantage of this funding.

The TRF will provide $500 million in support for the tourism sector over two years. The majority of the funding, $485 million, will be delivered by Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) directly to tourism businesses and organizations to help aid in the creation of new tourism experiences, or enhance existing ones. Of this $485 million, a minimum of 10% will be invested in Indigenous tourism projects.

As you investigate and apply to this new program, we want to hear from you.

We have created an online member forum where you can share your thoughts on this new funding program, provide feedback on the application process and overall experiences. As this is a community forum, you will have the opportunity to engage with fellow members across Canada.

By sharing your experience and feedback, you are providing invaluable information we can use to elevate concerns and issues about the program including shortfalls and gaps with federal officials; as well as how the program has helped the sector.

To start a conversation, click here and log in to your TIAC Membership account. In the left-hand submenu, click on the Community Member Forum and select the Tourism Relief Fund topic option and start sharing.

TIAC Forums and newsgroups are available for subscription.  Go to your subscription settings and click on the ones you would like to receive an immediate email notification whenever a new item is posted.
