TIAC MEMBERS SINCE 2023

TouriScope is a consulting firm specializing in strategy and business intelligence for the tourism industry. Since our founding in 2016, we've been active in New Brunswick, Quebec and, more recently, Nova Scotia, helping to enhance and strengthen the appeal of tourism destinations. We work with NPOs, institutions, municipalities and private companies working to develop tourism on their territory. TouriScope's raison d'être is to raise the profile of the tourism landscape, in other words, to highlight and enhance the appeal of destinations. For us, the tourism landscape evokes travel, the territory and the ecosystem in which organizations evolve.

TouriScope is committed to supporting the entire tourism industry by offering services in both English and French. We understand the importance of providing support in the native language and are proud to be one of the few bilingual tourism consulting teams working nationwide. In addition, we are pleased to provide French-language services to French-speaking minority communities across Canada. At TouriScope, we believe in the uniqueness of each customer. That's why our team takes a personalized approach to meeting the needs of every organization. With varied experience in different sectors of the Canadian tourism industry (destination management, accommodations, outdoor activities, agrotourism, spas, transportation, distribution networks, etc.), our team has a thorough understanding of the realities and challenges faced by our customers.

In 2023, TouriScope made the transition to horizontal management, officially becoming an Opale company. The Opale management model, also known as holacracy, aims to eliminate the traditional hierarchical structure. Each team member is given more responsibilities and areas of authority, fostering autonomy and agility. Opality brings real added value to our projects by fostering an agile, responsive team. This management style enables rapid decision-making, facilitating our ability to adapt to changes, opportunities and challenges.

We make a direct contribution to identifying solutions to sustainable development issues facing tourism regions and businesses. Our mandates cover a wide range of issues: accessibility of remote regions, sustainable mobility, adaptation to climate change, sustainable transition, destination attractiveness, enhancement of aboriginal communities, and more. Through our studies, we validate solutions (impact-based business models, technological solutions), identify winning conditions for tourism projects, and create awareness-raising workshops, guides and popularization tools. In particular, we are the first in Canada to offer the tourism version of the Climate Fresco, a fun workshop that helps people understand the impact of climate change on the tourism industry. We take care to focus our efforts on all these issues, to ensure that the tourism industry generates positive spin-offs in host communities.

How has your membership with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada benefited your business?

TouriScope benefits from its membership of the Tourism Association of Canada in that it enables us to network with tourism stakeholders across the country. What's more, we've been able to get involved in TIAC's activities through our presence on the membership advisory committee. We also take part in various events organized by the Tourism Association of Canada and its partners on current topics, such as the regenerative approach to tourism. We are committed to working with all French-speaking minority communities in Canada, and our membership of TIAC helps us achieve this goal.
