While numbers for May might not have everyone jumping for joy, overall our international visitor numbers are still on the rise.

Though we’re still slightly behind arrivals from last May, performance is back up in all of our target European markets with France up over 17%. China continues to rise in the double digits with 14% more visitors than last May. Mexico – which was up 70% this time last year – continues to grow as well, though at a much lower pace with an increase of 2%. A final rising star of note is Brazil, where we welcomed 15.6% more people than last year.

Summer statistics will roll out over the next few months – but signs point to a successful post-Canada150 tourism season!
