TIAC Talk Articles > Indigenous Tourism Alberta
The Government of Alberta is funding a new tourism association, Indigenous Tourism Alberta, that will help Indigenous entrepreneurs and communities in Alberta start tourism businesses, create jobs, and offer visitors an authentic experience.
The province has provided a grant to the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada to help create a provincial group, Indigenous Tourism Alberta. The money will support the development of a provincial strategy for the organization, resources for entrepreneurs and Indigenous communities, and product development that helps tourism businesses improve their operations.
TIAC fully supports the Indigenous tourism sector and has advocated for policies and funding to encourage its growth and development.
Organizations like Indigenous Tourism Alberta represent the sector’s and members’ best interests and creates a unified voice to the public and political stakeholders. Congratulations and we look forward to working together in the future!
