Celebrating the Success of RVC 2024

I am thrilled to share the incredible success of Rendez-vous Canada 2024, held in Edmonton Alberta from May 14 to 17!

Rendez-vous Canada (RVC) is the premier international travel and tourism marketplace connecting international travel buyers with sellers of Canadian destinations and market ready tourism products and experiences. RVC is co-produced by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and Destination Canada (DC).

This year’s RVC was co-hosted by Travel Alberta and Explore Edmonton who made everyone feel incredibly welcome, showcasing the true spirit of Canadian hospitality.

Over the three-day event, we welcomed 1,528 attendees from around the world, including 390 Buyers from 22 countries, 21 Travel Trade Media and 934 Sellers. There were 480 Canadian operators and destinations represented from every province and territory.

The event facilitated more than 47,016 appointments, creating valuable opportunities for new connections, and strengthening existing partnerships. Millions in sales contracts and future business took place on the marketplace floor between buyers and sellers over three days.  

The estimated direct and in-direct economic impact for Edmonton is $5.3M.

I am also pleased to share that through the TIAC Member Advantage Program which included registration savings and sponsorship discount, TIAC Members collectively saved more than $463,300 in costs at RVC 2024.

It was great seeing so many of you at the opening reception, at breakfast or lunch, at the host night reception.

I am pleased to share, RVC 2025 will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba from May 27 to 30 and we are excited to work with co-hosts Travel Manitoba and Tourism Winnipeg.

We will be sharing the RFP to host RVC for 2026 to 2030 in the next few weeks.
