Grande Prairie is a major city in Northern Alberta and staging center for Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway, we are the regional hub of the Peace Country with a population of almost 70,000 people and a trading region of almost 300,000 people spanning from Northwest Alberta, Northeastern British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.

We have many exciting experiences to offer the people who live in Grande Prairie and those that come to visit for things to see and do. We have so many, we only have room to name a few:

Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum - is a world-class facility in the heart of the Peace Country on a 10-acre complex. The museum features extensive gallery spaces angled onto a unique set of beetle pine timber 7-beam nodal trusses, two classrooms, the 60-seat Aykroyd Family Theater, research and collections areas, the Dine-O-Saur restaurant, the Kaleidosaur gift shop, an outdoor discovery fossil walk and large outdoor playground.

Art Gallery of Grande Prairie - is one of the largest Free Admission galleries in Western Canada. It is a centre of excellence, inspiration, creativity and innovation for the Arts. They are a valued cultural partner and vital resource for the public, artists, curators and writers.

Eastlink Centre – is a 450,000 square foot, modern health and fitness facility, located in South Grande Prairie, an offers recreation activity to a wide range of users. The aquatics area provides entertainment for all ages with two water slides, FlowRider for simulated surfing and a colourful dinosaur-themed waterpark for children ages 12 and under. The 50-metre Competition swimming pool is approved to host Provincial, National and International swim events and patrons can participate in a range of activities for every skill level. For those looking for a more relaxing visit, the facility also offers a Lazy River, Family and Adult Hot Tubs, steam room and sauna.

County of Grande Prairie Sportsplex facility - Our state-of-the-art Sportsplex is owned by the County and managed by Nustadia Recreation Inc. It boasts a 176,043 square-foot regional Sportsplex with soccer pitch which is one of the largest in Alberta, 2 NHL rinks, running track, workout facility and retail amenities, restaurant and much more.

Nitehwak Year-Round Adventure Park facilities everything from downhill skiing, full service terrain park, neon Glow Tubing to Mountain Biking and Trail riding. They also have a year-round camp ground on site.
