Recent News > The Tourism Town Hall Program Launched in Okanagan Valley
The Tourism Industry Association of Canada and the Canadian Tourism Commission held their first ever Tourism Town Hall last month at Sparkling Hill Resort in the Okanagan Valley. Hosted by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, the event was well attended by stakeholders, local politicians and media. The event helped raise the profile on a number of national-level tourism issues, while allowing TIAC and the CTC to hear industry concerns in an interactive setting.
TIAC and the CTC cordially invite you to take part in the Tourism Town Hall program by attending one of these special sessions in your part of the country. The sessions are jointly hosted by TIAC and the CTC and presented by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and WestJet.
The next session is scheduled for:
January 16th, 1:00pm-4:30pm, Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls Fallsview
5685 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls, ON, L2E 6W7
This interactive event will provide you with unparalleled insight on how TIAC and the CTC are working to grow the visitor economy. The open forum will also provide a unique opportunity to share your ideas on how we can make Canada’s tourism industry more competitive.
Tourism and hospitality business operators, tourism marketers, travel industry employees, government stakeholders, and local media are all welcome and encouraged to participate in this open dialogue.
Bring forward your ideas, questions and concerns in this unprecedented meeting series. The town hall format ensures your voice and your concerns are heard.
