TIAC is pleased to announce Marc Séguin as our new Vice President, Policy and Government Affairs.
Marc joins TIAC with extensive experience as a leader in legislative and policy environments, and more than 15 years experience working for a member driven, national industry association.
As Senior Vice President, Policy at the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), Marc worked with a broad spectrum of teams and stakeholders in the assessment, development and advocacy of strategy policy initiatives, including leading government relations activities. He also spent time leading the organization’s communications and membership services departments. During his tenure at CMPA, Marc successfully led several major policy development and advocacy initiatives related to the Canadian feature film and broadcasting sectors.
Prior to this, Marc held various positions within the federal government at Communications Canada and Canadian Heritage developing policies related to Canada’s feature film, television and digital media sectors.
Marc is a forward-looking strategist with well honed and highly pertinent expertise related to parliamentary affairs, legislative proposals, regulatory proceedings and public sector policy development, with a strong track record delivering positive outcomes on key organizational priorities.
TIAC is looking forward to having Marc’s wealth of knowledge and expertise on board in moving our advocacy initiatives forward on behalf of the visitor economy.
Marc lives in Ottawa, is the proud father of two beautiful girls, and is an avid runner, cyclist, tennis player, photographer and musician.
Marc is a graduate from John Abbott College in Pure and Applied Sciences, and Concordia University with a Bachelor of Arts specializing in Communications Studies. Marc is fluently bilingual.
