TIAC’s work is far from over

For the last year, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) has championed efforts to ensure support and relief programs for the sector.

We have collaborated with organizations from coast to coast to coast to elevate concerns, understand regional issues, and shared program gaps and shortfalls with federal officials.

Notably, TIAC has been recognized by The Hills Times and The Lobby Monitor as the most active group in Canada during March 2021, leading up to the Federal Budget.

While we were pleased to see our efforts paid off with some additional support and recognition in this past week's Budget, we know more is needed for our sector's survival and recovery.  TIAC's work is far from over. Our President and CEO, Beth Potter shared in recent webinars and communication, in addition to advocating for the efficient and effective roll-out of programs, monitoring delivery amongst our members, and addressing the impact of CEWS and CERS changes, we will continue to elevate gaps and support needs.

We will also concentrate on labour challenges, border reopening, and leading the effort to build consumer confidence.

Of course, as a not-for-profit organization, we need support to fuel our efforts.  Thank you to the many members who continue to invest and back our efforts and strengthen our voice.

Our work benefits all stakeholders of the tourism industry.

If you are not a TIAC member, we invite you today to join the association, become engaged in our efforts, and add to our voice.
