Parliament Hill Tourism Champions Overview: Key MP’s & Caucuses to Watch

It’s a new year, and a pretty new parliament in Ottawa, which means to succeed tourism’s 2020 advocacy efforts, TIAC’s outreach and target audiences must reflect the reality, and anticipate the challenges, of the new political landscape.

Identifying key Ministers, Members of Parliament, Senators, and Committees to watch is part of the process to find “Tourism Champions” – in other words, those we hope to work closely with to advance tourism. In terms of criteria, we look at a few key measures, such as regions that see significant tourism activity, as well as key ministries and parliamentary caucuses that work on tourism related issues.

The tables below, show the information the TIAC team has been working hard to assemble and strategize on.
