Atlantic Growth Strategy aims to drive economic development in Atlantic Canada
On July 11, 2017 federal ministers and Atlantic premiers met in Humber Valley, Newfoundland and Labrador to review progress of the Atlantic Growth Strategy initiatives and to announce a new investment of $24.5 million for tourism in the region. The investment is a multi-year partnership meant to expand promotion of the region's tourism offerings to key international markets and to help Atlantic tourism operators further develop products and experiences to meet this demand.
Overall the invest is meant to help position Atlantic Canada as a top destination to visit, create more jobs and boost small business in the region.
