On October 7th, TIAC President & CEO Charlotte Bell presented at the first Canadian Parks Conference in Quebec City, Quebec. This presentation covered an overview of TIAC’s purpose and priorities, TIAC’s role in fostering industry partnerships, and looking to inspire strategic parks tourism collaboration in ways that grow visitor opportunities and support for parks. Charlotte also moderated a breakout discussion on the topic of “How can park agencies collaborate better with the tourism industry”.

Canadian national and provincial parks, and other outdoor recreational spaces are a strong part of Canada’s identity, and a key driver for Canadian tourism. Working to promote park visitation in a sustainable way will continue to showcase our awe-inspiring landscapes, and drive local economies for many generations to come. TIAC is committed to continuing to participate in these forums on a going-forward basis.
