This year’s Tourism Week took place the last week of May, and despite the hardship our industry is facing due to the global pandemic, we felt it was more important than ever to recognize small and medium-sized businesses that are crucial to the visitor economy. 

TIAC decided to take its activities online with regional Tourism Town Halls and a suite of digital tools ranging from social media posts to Tourism Week virtual backgrounds for Zoom calls. We invited all Canadians and tourism stakeholders to join together and highlight our industry’s contributions to the Canadian economy and employment, and work together towards a safe recovery.
