Job Description / Duties
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Communications Coordinator supports content creation for CTA marketing initiatives, special projects, websites, and social media platforms. They are ambassadors of our brands and help bring our campaigns to life.
Responsibilities
Implements all aspects of the CTA communications strategy including, but not limited to:
Written and visual content (photography and videography) for CTA websites (blogs, profiles, etc.), brochures, and newsletters
Written and visual content (photography and videography) for third-party print and web publications
Written and visual content (photography and videography) for CTA social media
Written and visual content (photography and videography) for custom campaigns and special projects"
Works with the CTA community (destinations, restaurants, purveyors, etc.) to gather relevant stories for CTA channels
Executes member, partner, and client marketing benefits including, but not limited to programs and custom campaigns
Develops all newsletters and community communications as directed by Director of Marketing
Ensures all promotional and marketing materials meet the CTA’s brand identity and strategy
Works alongside the Content Creator to implement the CTA communications strategy
Supports execution of special campaigns and projects
Identifies and resolves any issues with the content in a timely and professional manner
Coordinates meetings, press conferences, and presentations
Works with all CTA departments to foster a teamwork environment and culture that encourages personal integrity, accountability & responsibility.

Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications
Based in Ontario with a valid driver’s license
Progressive experience in a consumer marketing role; B2B experience is an asset
Sound knowledge of Brand Marketing, Communications, and Design
Strong community management skills
University or College degree, ideally with a focus on Marketing and/or Communications
Experience directing small but mighty teams
Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics
Strong knowledge of social media and social media advertising with experience developing strategies to support company and brand objectives
Superior written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel and work occasional weekends and evenings as required
Strong relationships with Ontario’s tourism industry are an asset
Unbridled passion for local food, drink, and travel

The Culinary Tourism Alliance is certified as a Living Wage Employer. Compensation is based on previous experience and level of expertise.

Salary: Salary Range is $50,000 - $70,000, plus benefits.
