Canada’s capital region is home to six national museums and world-class art galleries that are sure to captivate new visitors and the most experienced travelers. The myriad of museums and galleries offer a glimpse into everything from Canada’s social and military history, to buildings that house impressive aircraft collections and explain technological breakthroughs, to astounding natural wonders and world-class art.
Admission is always free at the following museums:
- The Ottawa Art Gallery for the most comprehensive display ever presented of historic and contemporary works associated with the Ottawa region
- The Bank of Canada Museum to learn about the important role of people in the economy through hands-on interactive exhibits
Seven national museums located in Ottawa–Gatineau are part of Canada’s National Museums Passport, giving you access to 3 museums for 3 days for $35.
