China Readiness Workshops
2018 is the Canada-China Year of Tourism (CCYT). As Canada's second largest inbound international market, we hope to welcome record numbers of Chinese visitors. And TIAC wants small and medium-sized tourism businesses to be ready for this growing market.
That's why we're hosting a series of China Readiness workshops across the country to help get ready.
Why China?
- In 2017, Canada hosted a record 682,000 Chinese travellers, up 12% over 2016.
- China was Canada's largest source of tourist arrivals from the Asia-Pacific region.
- China is Destination Canada's second-largest overseas market.
- Canada's New Tourism Vision seeks to double the number of tourists from China by 2021
