Mr. Ryan has over 30 years of experience as a manager and management consultant in the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in managing diverse and complex operations in the manufacturing, retail, and service sectors.

In 2006, Mr. Ryan joined Ski Sutton Inc. as General Manager. Over the last 16 years, he and his team have taken several steps to further the consolidation of the business. Under his leadership of the resort, he has undertaken the management of the ski school, the mountain restaurant, and the boutique/workshop/rental departments. These different activities have since been flourishing. Together with partners, he acquired Mont SUTTON in 2016, confirming his passion for skiing, and his belief that the ski industry can continue to develop. He is now implementing a strategic investment plan and various attractions (new experiential zip lines, mountain biking, disc golf, etc.) for the resort to further demonstrate this belief.

Mr. Ryan strongly believes in the importance and future of the ski industry and tourism industry as a source of economic development. He understands the regulatory and financial issues related to operations and the ability of ski areas to develop. He is regularly sought after by the community and the industry as a unifying force and advocate for a consensual approach. He is actively involved in the business, ski and tourism communities and sits on several committees and boards of directors including: Board of Directors of the Sutton Economic Development Corporation; Board of Directors of Tourisme Cantons-de-l'Est, first as a Director and then as Chairman; on the Board of Directors of the Alliance de l'industrie touristique du Québec, as a Director and Chairman since 2019; on the Board of Directors of the Quebec Ski Areas Association as a Director, Vice-Chairman and Chairman since 2018. He has also served on the Canadian Ski Council.
