TIAC Talk Articles > TIAC Fall Updates
As the summer season begins to wind down, TIAC is gearing up for a busy fall with a number of activities to support our vibrant sector.
Election Toolkit
With the federal election quickly approaching, we have prepared an Election Toolkit to make it easy to help us amplify tourism’s message and keep our sector top-of-mind for political candidates.
Very shortly, we’ll be launching an enhanced toolkit that will allow stakeholders to enter their postal codes and receive links to local candidates in their respective ridings. This will allow them to communicate our messages and receive feedback from candidates. This site will continue to be active post-election.
We are also hosting a members-only webinar on September 3 to ensure you get the most out of the toolkit! Find out more
Tourism Town Halls
The final stop in our popular 2019 Tourism Town Hall series gets underway on November 13 in Kelowna, British Columbia, as part of the 2019 International Indigenous Tourism Conference, hosted by the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC).
These events are a partnership between the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Destination Canada and local industry partners. They provide an opportunity to engage small and medium-sized business operators across Canada to discuss advocacy activities and priorities, including efforts made on national tourism issues.
This year’s successful Tourism Town Halls have included stops in Edmonton, AB, Bonavista Region, NL, Peterborough & the Kawarthas, ON and Whistler, BC.
You can follow the Tourism Town Halls on social media with the hashtag #TourismTownHall
The Tourism Congress
On November 19 and 20, our signature annual conference, The Tourism Congress, brings together industry leaders, professionals and influencers from coast to coast to coast under one roof.
This year’s event takes place November 19-20 in our nation's capital at the Westin Ottawa.
The Tourism Congress 2019 program is now available. Under the theme “Driving the Visitor Economy-Together”, this year's Congress has an amazing line-up of industry experts and timely discussions on issues that matter to you.
