On July 12, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville in Quebec hosted a TIAC China Readiness session for local tourism operators.

The popular event focussed on delivering practical tips to local businesses on appealing to Chinese tourists, including online and social media promotion tactics, and encouraging the use of Chinese payment methods.

TIAC President and CEO Charlotte Bell was joined by The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism, to speak on the importance of the Chinese market and the economic benefits to local business.

It’s been a busy month on the Canada-China tourism front, with a recent successful trade mission to China which included the signing of an MOU between TIAC and UnionPay to the benefit of our members.
