In the House
- On Tuesday, December 8th, MP Gudie Hutchings rose in the House of Commons to speak of TIAC President and CEO, Charlotte Bell.

TIAC’s Advocacy Update
- On Monday TIAC’s Acting CEO participated in a meeting of Tourism Roundtable Steering Committee
- On Wednesday, TIAC’s board chair presented at the Government–Industry webinar; Paths to Recovery: Testing and Vaccination for Safe Restart of Air Travel co-hosted by the Future Borders Coalition, NACC and the CAC
- Today, TIAC’s Acting CEO met with MP Tony Baldinelli, Conservative Party’s Special Advisor to on Tourism Recovery
- TIAC’s Acting CEO continues advocacy outreach to discuss measures outlined in the Fall Economic Statement with key decision makers

Government Announcements
- Emergency Measures Administered by the CRA
- ISED participated in a meeting with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to go over the current federal emergency measure programs for businesses and individuals, administered by the CRA.

- Today, Health Canada announces it has authorized the first COVID-19 vaccine.
- Alberta has imposed tough new public health measures amidst rising COVID-19 infections
- All indoor and outdoor public and private gatherings prohibited
