- Ontario Enacts Month-Long Stay-At-Home Order
- Premier Doug Ford declared State of Emergency with province wide stay at home order effective 12:01am April 8th for four weeks.
- During this time, all non-essential retailers will close to in-person shopping, in-person dining will be prohibited and gyms and personal care services will be shuttered.
- Big box stores will be allowed to remain open only to sell essential goods.

- Quebec Increases Restrictions
- Students in Red zones will be attending alternating days, and indoor fitness activities are closed.
- The government indicated it was considering returning the curfew in red zones to 8PM, however no change as of yet.

- BC Health Minister says its time to ‘dig in’ and obey COVID-19 safety rules
- Dix said on Sunday that B.C.'s latest COVID-19 measures were very strict, and did not say if other new measures could be coming in days ahead.

- Saskatchewan Unveiled its 2021-2022 Budget
- The budget includes a reduction in the small business tax rate. The rate was reduced from 2% to 0%, effective October 1, 2020, and will increase to 1% July 1, 2022, returning to 2% July 1, 2023.
- The budget also included $5M for the Saskatchewan Tourism Sector Support Program to help tourism-related businesses who have experienced a loss of sales revenue of at least 30 per cent.
- As well as $6.4M in supports, including an estimated $5.6 million for increased VLT site commissions, $754,000 in reduced revenues, to help outfitters by putting a moratorium on their fees, and $77,000 for increased capital grants to regional parks.

- Nova Scotia Opens Border with Newfoundland and Labrador, Other Restrictions Eased
- Residents of Atlantic Canada can come to Nova Scotia without having to self-isolate upon arrival and without having to complete the Nova Scotia Safe Check-in form.
- Malls, retail businesses and fitness facilities can return to operating at 100 per cent of their capacity, with physical distancing.
- Sports practices, training and games, and arts and culture rehearsals and performances can have 75 people.
- Spectators continue to be allowed at these events except when they are held at schools.

- The budget includes specific support to address the tourism priorities of the Town of Fort Smith and funding for seven Community Tourism Coordinator positions.

- Nunavut - Public Health Restrictions Eased Across the Kivalliq
- Public swimming pools, recreation centres, gyms, galleries, museums and libraries may open to a maximum occupancy of 25 people or 50 per cent.
- Arenas may open to a maximum occupancy of 50 people or 50 per cent.
- Buildings, all public playgrounds, municipal parks and territorial parks may open.
