September 27th marked the UNWTO’s World Tourism Day (WTD). This year’s theme was "Tourism and the Digital Transformation."

Tourism organizations from around the world, including TIAC, acknowledged WTD through our social media channels.

This year’s event was an ideal opportunity to raise awareness of the potential of technology in the tourism sector for travellers and businesses alike. Technologies such as location-based services, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and blockchain technology have made tourism more attractive, efficient, inclusive, and environmentally friendly.
