In December, ISED released an update to their report on SME profiles on tourism industries in Canada.

The report highlights the importance of tourism SMEs to the Canadian economy—they account for 99.9 percent of tourism businesses.

It provides an overview of business characteristics, owner characteristics and recent financing activities of Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism industry in comparison with SMEs in all industries.
