In December, the Government of Canada launched the second stream of a program to provide $50 million in funding for projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and generate clean growth.

The Partnerships stream of the Low Carbon Economy Challenge is part of a major federal climate mitigation-funding program.

This fund is limited to applications from Indigenous communities and organizations, small and medium-sized businesses (less than 500 employees), not-for-profit organizations, and small municipalities (populations of less than 100,000).

Final applications are due March 8, 2019.
