June arrival numbers have been released by Statistics Canada and we continue to see an overall rise of 1.6% in international travellers compared to June 2017.

The upward trend from Brazil continues, with a hefty 29.8% increase in visits compared to last June and an overall increase of 35.1% for the year-to-date from 2017. Unfortunately, the Chinese market saw a 5% decrease in June, but fortunately, overall year-to-date visits are up 9.1%. The European markets were led by Germany, which saw a healthy 11% increase from June to June with France showing the highest overall year-to-date gain of 7.4%.

We look forward to seeing what July & August numbers have in store, and we're hopeful they'll be worth the wait!
