On January 29, 2020, TIAC President and CEO, Charlotte Bell, was invited to give a presentation to the Conservative Tourism Caucus. Led by tourism critic and long-time tourism champion Blake Richards (Banff-Airdrie), the caucus brings together elected Conservative members to discuss issues facing the industry.

Alongside colleagues from the Hotel Association of Canada and Tourism HR Canada, Charlotte gave an overview of the Canadian visitor economy and TIAC’s top advocacy priorities. Special attention was given on the importance of maintaining accessible visa policies to encourage international visitation, especially in markets like Mexico which have seen significant growth because of changes in visa policy.
