The Ottawa Valley Tourist Association (OVTA) is the official destination marketing organization for the Upper Ottawa Valley and proudly represents more than 300 tourism businesses, comprised of attractions and events, accommodation, dining and retail establishments, rafting companies and outfitters, artists and galleries, municipalities, as well as media and industry suppliers.

Cradled between the Ottawa River and Algonquin Park in Ontario's Highlands, the Ottawa Valley is a place steeped in culture where you can immerse yourself in our unique blend of heritage and outdoor recreation. Known as the Whitewater Capital of Canada, the area is surrounded by woodlands, over 900 pristine lakes, four major river systems and dozens of other clean, warm and safe flat and whitewater rivers.

Located only 3 hours northeast of Toronto and 30 minutes west of the Nation’s Capital, the Ottawa Valley offers an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle with small town charm and authentic rural hospitality.
