Culinary and Agritourism Experience Award

The Culinary and Agritourism Experience Award recognizes a tourism business or organization that delivers an authentic and innovative visitor experience showcasing Canadian food, beverage, agriculture, and local culinary traditions. The recipient demonstrates excellence in positioning Canada as a premier international culinary and agritourism destination through high-quality, memorable experiences that celebrate regional products, producers, and food culture.

Nominees should demonstrate how their experience promotes quality Canadian food and drink products, contributes to the growth and visibility of regional culinary and agritourism tourism, and creates meaningful economic, social, and tourism benefits for their destination. Wherever possible, responses should be supported by statistical information, measurable outcomes, and evidence that demonstrates the impact and success of the experience.

Instructions

1. If you are a TIAC Member, please sign into your account before starting the nomination process.
2. Fill out the online nomination form, and attach mandatory supporting files, including photos, documents, and video links.
3. Pay the nomination fee*, if applicable.

*The fee for each nomination entry is $100.00, inclusive of applicable taxes. Nominators, whether TIAC members or not, are eligible to submit nominations. If the nominee is a regular member in good standing of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, the nomination fees will be waived. For nominees who are Associate members of TIAC, the nomination cost is reduced to $50. If the nominee is not a TIAC Member, the full price applies.

Judging Criteria

• Demonstrates innovation in showcasing authentic culinary/agritourism experiences in their region/destination (25%)
• Exemplifies Canada as an international culinary/agritourism destination (25%)
• Promotes quality Canadian food or drink products (25%)
• Contribution in promoting regional culinary/agritourism experiences (25%)
