 :30-12:30 PST/ 12:30-3:30 pm EST\n\nThe FastTrack to Sustainable Tourism
  is based upon GreenStep’s Sustainable Tourism framework and GSTC-reco
 gnized criteria for businesses and destinations. GreenStep will guide pa
 rticipants through the process of creating their own sustainability acti
 on plan, helping to build capacity and foundational skills in addressing
  key sustainability challenges facing tourism operators and destinations
 .\n\nWorkshop 1: Learn\nAn introduction to the definitions and principle
 s of sustainable tourism, as well as a look at the business case for sus
 tainability and why it is important to measure sustainability performanc
 e.\n\nWorkshop 2: One of the most important steps in an organization’
 s journey is to establish a baseline measurement for overall sustainabil
 ity performance. This session will include an introduction to the Sustai
 nable Tourism assessment tool along with other common ways to measure pe
 rformance, including energy, water, waste, accessibility and more. As th
 e saying goes, what gets measured, gets managed.\n\nWorkshop 3: Once yo
 ur baseline performance is understood, and key challenges and opportunit
 ies identified, participants will be guided through the next step of dev
 eloping and implementing a sustainability vision, set of goals, and an a
 ction plan to improve performance over time.\n\nWorkshop 4: In the fina
 l workshop, participants will learn how to best to track their progress,
  including establishing accountability measures, as well suggested repor
 ting activities. The workshop will end with a look at how to work toward
 s continual improvement through ongoing progress, as the above cycle is 
 repeated annually.
